Gander Mountain to Open First of More Than a Dozen Stores in 2007
ST. PAUL, Minn., February 22, 2007 — Gander Mountain Company (Nasdaq: GMTN) today announced the first of more than a dozen stores it plans to open in 2007.
The newest store in the outdoor retailer’s network will be located in Eden Prairie, Minnesota at 12160 Technology Drive. The store’s Grand Opening is scheduled for March 30.
The 64,500 square foot store is replacing Gander Mountain’s 29,500 square foot store in Minnetonka, Minnesota. The Minnetonka store will close on schedule, Saturday, February 24th after more than 10 years in that location.
The Eden Prairie store will feature new color schemes and merchandise displays, and a unique floor plan that provides two floors of innovative outdoor products.
Gander Mountain customers will find a huge assortment of products including firearms, hunting equipment, archery equipment, ATVs, fishing and power boats, fishing equipment, apparel and footwear, gifts, canoes, kayaks and camping equipment.
The Eden Prairie store will offer on-site gunsmithing, ATV service and repair, an archery lane and full service archery shop, line winding, boat and motor service, and a staff of associates with a wealth of knowledge about the outdoor products they provide.
All Gander Mountain stores feature the Gander Mountain Lodge, a meeting room provided free of charge for meetings of local outdoor and civic groups. Gander Mountain also provides educational courses for outdoor enthusiasts in the Lodge. The company offers more hunter safety programs, through its Lodges, than any other outdoor retailer.
