Gander Mountain Plans for Quick Reopening in Binghamton

ST. PAUL, Minn., June 29, 2006 - Gander Mountain Company (Nasdaq: GMTN) today announced that plans to reopen the Gander Mountain store in Binghamton, N.Y. are already in process. The store was flooded on June 28.

“We are committed to reopening the store as soon as possible in order to serve our loyal customers in the Binghamton area,” said Mark Baker, President and CEO. “We already have a team set to move in and assess the damage as soon as the water recedes. If there is no structural damage, we hope to be back in business within a few months. We will have a better estimate once we are able to get into the building. In the interim, our stores in Syracuse and Scranton will be carrying additional merchandise to meet the needs of our customers.”
