SAINT PAUL, Minn., May 18, 2005 — Texas residents in search of great hunting, fishing and camping merchandise need look no further.  Gander Mountain, an outdoor retailer based in Saint Paul, Minnesota, will enter Texarkana with the opening of a 66,000 square foot store set for this fall.  The Texarkana location continues the company’s trend of expansion into Texas markets.

The Gander Mountain store will be located at 2301 University Avenue, near the junction of Interstate 30 and Highway 59.  The store will employ approximately 75 people to provide expert service to area outdoor enthusiasts.  In addition, customers will find unique features and services including ATV sales & service, in-store professional gunsmith, buying and selling of used firearms, full service archery shop with shooting lanes, hunting and fishing license sales, a live bait shop and a Gander Lodge meeting space available to local organizations free of charge.
