Gander Adds Another Mountain Dayton Store to Celebrate Grand Opening This Weekend
SAINT PAUL, Minn., Thursday, May 12, 2005 – Gander Mountain, the fastest growing outdoor retailer in the country, is gearing up for the Grand Opening of its new store in Huber Heights this weekend. Gander will kick things off in true Gander style with a Ribbon Shooting at 7:30 a.m. on Friday, May 13th. That’s right, a Ribbon Shooting. Olympic gold-medal archer Rod White will shoot an arrow through a ½ inch ribbon from about 50 yards to kick off the Grand Opening Celebration. And once that ribbon falls, Gander’s staff will celebrate the Grand Opening by blowing a chorus of duck calls. White won a gold medal at the 1996 Olympics as a part of the U.S. Archery Team. The Grand Opening Celebration promises to be fun for the entire family. With a giant-sized inflatable bass for the kids to slide down, a cookout hosted by local Boy Scouts, a team from Radio Disney on hand, and tens of thousands of dollars in giveaways and prizes, there will be something for everyone at Gander Mountain this weekend. Giveaways include: · Free Gun-Locks from Project Child Safe to the first 5000 customers · Free Gander Mountain T-Shirts to the first 500 customers on Friday · Free Gander Mountain hats for the first 500 customers on Saturday · Free Gander Mountain water bottles for first 500 customers on Sunday
The new Gander Mountain in Huber Heights is located at I-70 and Highway 202, next to Elder Beerman. The store will be open from 8:00 a.m. until 10:00 p.m. this Friday and Saturday, and from 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday.
